There are a couple of things we look at: salt level, water flow, and the salt cell itself. Using salt test strips, we can determine if the correct amount of salt is being flushed from the system into the pool. The system displays the amount of salt, but it could display a wrong number if it needs repairs. The water flow is affected by clogged filters and a dirty pump so we check to make sure those are all clean. The final thing we look at is the cell. If the cell is not clean, it will affect the salt output. Daily maintenance is key.
