We Offer Pool Equipment Repair for:

What Can Be Fixed

Pool Lights and Timers

One of the main issues you run into with the pool lights is—no surprise!—water damage. It’s possible that improper installation has allowed water to get into the light, causing potential electrical problems or corrosion. We are happy to replace electrical components or update fixtures as needed.

Sometimes when a pool light goes out, it is as simple as a bulb burning out. Due to the locations on some pool lights, this isn’t always a simple DIY. Give Pink Dolphin a call. We’ll come out and swap in a new bulb for you so you can get back to your night swimming as soon as possible.

Pool Pumps

Your pump might just be the most important feature of your pool, the mechanism which keeps it moving, clean and safe for you to swim in. When the pump slows down, bacteria and junk collect in the water. It then becomes unsafe to swim. Even with chlorine, the pump is required to drive water through the proper filter, and must be in working order for the pool to stay safe.

If you suspect that the pump’s impeller, motor or trap may be damaged, it is time to call in the professionals for repairs. With experience and understanding of legal requirements for efficiency, we at Pink Dolphin can help get your pump up and running. With just a short time of filtering, you’ll be back in that water again soon.

Pool Heaters

You may have noticed your pool heater has been acting up lately. If it hasn’t been heating as well, has been making noise or is not turning on, it’s no surprise—heaters do a lot of work year round and there’s a possibility they may face more wear and tear than some of the other elements of your pool.

Simple use may require upkeep and repairs for a heater. By the time it’s approaching a decade in age, you might need to start looking at an upgrade. If you’re having trouble, it’s also worth checking filters, valves, wiring and switches. To keep on top of the items, we encourage scheduling maintenance inspections. Our experience with electrical pool elements provides safety and peace of mind when it comes to pool heater repairs.

Pool Plumbing Leaks

Like anything involving gallons and gallons of water, a leak from a pool can cause serious havoc. Typically leaks will be found in the plumbing that is situated above ground. Leaks can happen for several reasons:

  • There may be an issue with pressure in the pump. Water loss will occur when water is being circulated by the pump.
  • Valves and fittings may be at fault. If it is a valve issue, the water leak will be apparent when the pump is off.
  • Leaks can also occur in the pool itself. These are signaled by a steady amount of leaking, regardless of the pump’s status.

Steady leaks may not be due a serious crack in the pool. It is possible they are leaking around the edge of a skimmer or light. If the leak only lowers the water to partial level over and over again, look for one of these objects at this level to repair.

If, however, a steady leak seems to be draining your pool, it will be time to investigate to see if there may be a crack or hole.

Worried about your pool’s water level lowering slightly? More than likely levels dropping are due to evaporation.
